2. What are cookies?

Cookies and similar technologies, such as local shared objects, flash cookies or pixels, are tools that web servers use to store and retrieve information about their visitors and to ensure the proper operation of the website.

They allow the web server to remember certain information about the user, such as display settings, the session, the shopping cart or the products the user is most interested in.

3. Cookies requiring consent and exempt cookies

Under Section 25(1) TDDDG, your consent is required to store information on your device or to access information already stored on it. Under Section 25(2) TDDDG, cookies are exempt if their sole purpose is the transmission of a message or if they are strictly necessary for us to provide a digital service you have expressly requested (e.g. shopping cart, language setting, security functions). You give your consent through an active step (a click in the banner), never by merely browsing or scrolling. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future, as easily as you gave it.

4. Types of cookies

By purpose

•       Technical and functional cookies: allow navigation on a website, platform or application and the use of the options and services offered there.

•       Analytics cookies: allow the controller to track and analyse the behaviour of users of the websites to which they are linked. The information collected is used to measure the activity of the website and to create browsing profiles of users, in order to make improvements based on the analysis of usage data.

8. Processing of personal data

Mallorca Distillery S.L. is the controller for the processing of your personal data and informs you that it will be processed in accordance with the GDPR:

•       Purposes: those set out in section 5.

•       Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25(1) TDDDG) for cookies requiring consent. For strictly necessary cookies (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG), processing is based on our legitimate interest in operating the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

•       Retention period: as indicated for each cookie in section 5.

•       Recipients: your data is not disclosed to third parties, except to the providers named in section 6 or where required by law.

•       Transfers to third countries: see section 6.

•       Your rights:

o       The right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out before withdrawal.

o       The right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 21 GDPR).
